LYFE Music presented remarkable shows in 2007 for three outstanding
indie units in the Hong Kong Music industry: “FAMA”, “Wildchild”
and “Bonnie Lam”. Having granting positive feedback, this year
we proudly present “my little airport”, the new generation cult
band of Hong Kong in Shousan Theatre.
The Name
“A certain Romance in Kowloon Tong” is a song written as a memorabilia
of an unfortunate event that happened between two friends that
concluded in a catastrophe. How so? Listen to the song! At least,
it inspired My Little Airport to name the show after it.
About my little airport
This new generation Hong Kong local cult band: My Little Airport,
houses Nicole, the delicate and sexy vocalist and the all-around
talented P. Known to have the sweetest melody yet the darkest
and wickedest lyrics, they are voted as the twee-est band on the
world renowned music website, allmusic.com in 2007. They record
their albums in the comfort and the privacy of their own homes
with minimal budget. Since 2004, they have released 3 albums:
“The OK thing to do on Sunday afternoon is poddle in the Zoo”,
“Because I was too nervous at that time”, and “We can’t stop smoking
in the vicious and blue summer”. All of the albums have been pitched
by indie labels in Spain, Taiwan and China, and its localized
versions are released. Not only their albums are released overseas,
they travel to various cities for performances and music festivals,
each time more exciting than the next. Although they usually perform
sololy with a guitar or a piano, this time at Shousan, they take
on a full band, prepared to blow you away!
